The Mayor DJ 2

The mayor was introduced to the venue upon entering as the manager took the opportunity to entertain the earlybirds.  He announced that the Mayor was in but needed no table tonight. He would be on two tables to himself tonight. That’s right, he would be spinning on two turntables as the ice cream parlour gradually transformed into a dancehall.

All of the tables were initiated to play dance games. Upon successful activation of a table, it would be carried away clearing the way for a personalized dancing space for the duration of the dancing games. Each of the tables were tuned in and tap-shoed on by the team of dance activists.

Activists actually got on top of tables and performed tap dancing. It was at the stage of transition where all the chairs were carried off and the table was deemed a mini dance stage. The following segment included participants getting on the table 1 or 2 at a time to showcase their own dancing skills, sometimes as other tables observed.

The observations didn’t stop there. The dance activists cleared the way entirely and soon the Mayor DJ was ripping the newly opened dancefloor apart.

Yes the Mayor was drilling dance into the dancefloor. "The Mayor DJ! The Mayor DJ!" They chanted.

The games carried on even after the full conversion had taken place. Most of the tables had been taken to the front of the shop. That was so the ice cream shop could continue to operate outside as the inside raved on. The owners were quite happy with this arrangement as it meant that they could potentially double their regular capacity. The dancers would get thirsty and would order drinks as well. And it was just a lot of fun centered around their eatery.

And it was a world of fun to start the evening off with games and gradually shift into a rave. For anyone who wanted to continue playing, the designated dance activists would be providing more fun and games well into the rave portion of the event. The games would stop for the last leg from midnight until 3am. The kitchen would stop serving ice cream and the rave would continue. Many of the dancers looked forward to that part as well.

These kinds of parties were becoming more and more common in the town, as the Mayor DJ introduced the idea to entrepreneurial citizens. There weren't many other DJs in that town but perhaps that would change as the Mayor DJ continued to spread his creative vision throughout the city.
