Yo! Ko Yo

We spent a few days on Ko Yo last week. Ying had a test to write in Songkla town. She is just finishing up with cooking school and getting ready to receive her diploma. Ko Yo is very close to Songkla town and so it was a suitable spot to take a few days away from the hustle and bustle of Hatyai. Also it gave me a chance to bust out some dance moves and shake it baby, shake it baby, shake it baby, shake!

These cakes on the table and the cookies on the shelves are made from the Jumpada-Jackfruit hybrid fruit that Lung Wee grows.

The goodies are sold here at Cocoro Cakes. They were getting ready to put up the capital C on the sign when we were there.

Lung Wee Garden

Lung Wee himself gave us a brief tour and introduction to his garden.

This rest spot provided more than just coffee and tea. We were able to relax and meditate with the sound of the waves. The place is called Chill Le Cafe & Restaurant.

We spent some time here at this little place on the water called Chill Bar.

This is at one of Ko Yo's temples, Wat Laem Pho(วัดแหลมพ้อ). It features a reclining Buddha.

This is a mural also at the temple.

This aunt and uncle team served up some delicious food for us throughout our stay. The first time we showed up, they had actually closed. However they wanted to help us and said they could make some shrimp fried rice. We ate at this little restaurant of theirs on every occasion that we could.

This photo wasn't taken in a dream. It was taken in the garden of the aunt and uncle's restaurant.
